- Next Generation InfiniBand/Ethernet Adapters for HP ProLiant Servers
The next generation of HPE Infiniband/Ethernet Adapters for select HPE ProLiant SL, DL and ML servers, consists of three adapters, two with the ALOM form factor known as FlexibleLOM for Racks (FLR), and one PCIe card. HPE Infiniband FDR/Ethernet 10 Gb/40 Gb 2P 544QSFP adapter based on next-generation Mellanox ConnectX-3 technology and PCI Express 3.0 for unprecedented scalability and fabric flexibility, they can all function as a dual ported InfiniBand card, a dual ported Ethernet card, or a mixed function card. Together with the next generation of HPE Infiniband FDR edge switches, they deliver low-latency InfiniBand bandwidth, up to 56 Gb/s Fourteen Data Rate (FDR) or up to 40 Gb/s Quad Data Rate (QDR), for performance driven server and storage clustering applications in High Performance Computing (HPEC) and enterprise data centers.
